Started in 1996 we have provided consulting engineering services for well over a decade.

In 1999 Steve Abley departed New Zealand for the United Kingdom where he worked in London and on his return in 2003 the company traded as Steve Abley Transportation Engineering.  An increasing number of staff prompted a name change and in October 2007 the company name changed to Abley Transportation Engineers Limited.

The addition of more staff and an expanded range of transportation services such as GIS and design meant that in April 2009 the company again renamed, this time to Abley Transportation Consultants Limited. The company now employs a number of full time and part time staff and provides the full range of transportation services clients' demand.

We are at the forefront of transportation advice and we consult to central, regional and local government as well as private developers and not for profit groups.  We have a reputation for exceptionally high quality deliverables and high level thinking.

The decades to come provide the opportunity to create the sustainable transportation environments our communities demand.  We look forward to the challenge.
